My medical expired on November 2020 and my medical was extended recently on April 21 and it is showing as passed in CIC portal account as well..
I was under impression that medical will only be extended after all stages passed.. but today I called the agent and the agent said my status is same as before except my medical is extended ..
Can you please tell me is this possible.. medical extended even before all stages passed ?

If your medicals are exepiring or have expired, they can be extended, and this has nothing to do with other stages. Medicals have to be valid so that as soon as all stages are passed, as decision can be made. Without valid medicals on file, a final decision can be made. So in most cases, medicals are passed way before all stages are passed.
Okay ... just got off from a phone call with an agent and was so disappointed.....When I called about a month ago previous agent said that everything was completed and I should wait for a COPR in a next two weeks (at that point, I got my hopes so high to finally feel like this nightmare came to end) But noooo, this time agent explained everything more thoroughly saying that it's only stages that are passed, but the final decision hasn't been made. The file hasn't been touched for some time now...
Well, after I cried my eyes out, I am seriously starting to question why I am evening doing this... It has been nothing but a nightmare I'm so sad and tired of just waiting

I think it depends on officer's choice
It is unpredictable
In some cases status never change until the copr email issued

Hi, i just gotba call from ircc that our applucation is approved. They said we are gonna wait for another call for COPR instructions. CEC INLAND, AOR MAY 12, 1 DEPENDENT, MEDICAL EXTENDED LAST APRIL 27. How long will it take until COPR?

I got an email today, which mention application is almost at the end of the process. Need to reply the mail with my email id and entry date and port of entry.
Then they will send me PR confirmation portal log in and password later. I have replied the email today. Hopefully I may receive that portal log in detail soon. Let's hope for best, something is happening in my file now.
But, in my CIC account there is no updates.
Is it common to receive such request? My friend who got his PR application approved last week simply got application approved in CIC.

I don't know actually, I got call from immigration officer April 29th 2021, for some information, medical passed updated on May 6 2021. CIC account say eligibility and background still on progress.
