Previously when I logged into my account and looked at my PR application it would say ' Your action is required'. I assume that this is because I was waiting to collect my biometrics.
Today, I logged on and saw that instead of 'Your action is required' it says 'Submitted'.
The same thing happened with my bridging open work permit a few weeks / a month (ish) ago.
I'm hoping this is not just a glitch in the system and that the biometrics are being waived for PR too!!
I'll keep you all updated. Wishing all the best for everyone's applications!
I hope you are right bro but when I called, they said they are waiting for biometric to complete my application, i am inland and my aor is 15 may. Its been months since they closed biometrics

Yeah, we are. Btw my friend inland cec aor feb 12 managed to get biometric before it closed. He recently got passport request. let's see how it goes for us now. I think, they are processing fast but issuing slowly.
You will get the exact status of the application, Viz what ever notes the officer has written on the application would be visible.. I am waiting for mine. they Would send the same exactly 2 weeks from the date you applied.
Web forms due to current pandemic are extremely unreliable, Hence raising GCMS. Though there is a very little charge associated 5CAD...

got same answer on phone, i think they are not in mood of waiving it. Google clearview AI conflict with Canada for biometric and facial recognition. I am not sure biometric is suspended because of this specific investigation or not, otherwise there is no viable reason to not start biometric collection when entire city and all businesses in the province are open.
