Hi guys, my application was received in May 2019. Recently, I got an email to write my citizenship test in two weeks. Should I cancel or reschedule it due to the coronavirus? Thank you!

I mean if they haven’t cancelled it themselves I would go but then again it’s your call and what you feel comfortable with. Can I ask which location you will be having your test at?
Does anyone know if this is considered a reasonable reason to reschedule ?

Thank you so much for your reply!
I will be taking it in Hamilton Ontario, which has two cases confirmed. My test would be in the morning at 8:55 am. Thanks!

As the coronavirus panic is setting in, classes at schools are being canceled, Ottawa is closing down public venues, I am concerned that the citizenship test on March 19 might get canceled. Is there any way to contact IRCC about this? I am taking my test in Toronto. There are 41 confirmed corona cases in the GTA.
Edit: The City of Toronto reports that "Currently, COVID-19 is not circulating locally in Toronto." which I think means that all reported infections within the GTA so far have been brought from abroad and not contracted within the GTA, so hopefully the test is not going to get canceled.

You can still attend. No panic. Below is a link for the 2009 H1N1 virus spread while doing the ceremony and the precautions taken by the CIC to prevent any mishaps.

That's the problem. I don't want it to get canceled. I took time off work to prepare for the test and for the test itself. But I guess I don't have much choice.
