I sent them an email yesterday to confirm if they recieved my application. I guess they take 1 week to respond to your queries via Web Form but here is the info they requested to confirm if they received my application or not.
We invite you to verify the processing times on the IRCC website and take the following action if they are passed:
If you sent the application by regular mail:
please mail a photocopy of the original application (or a new application) to the address in the instruction guide, and include:
an explanation letter with initial mailing date,
photocopy of both sides of the payment receipt,
(if applicable) original payment receipt for restoration fees, and
photocopies of all the necessary supporting documents.
If you sent the application by registered mail:
please contact us again by using the IRCC Web formand include the following information:
type of application,
payment receipt (if applicable)
date your application was mailed or received,
complete address (including the postal code and the unit number) where your application was sent,
company used to mail the package, and
tracking number.
We will be pleased to respond to your enquiry as soon as possible following the reception of the above information.
My address stored in IRCC is my old home address. I am anxious that they may have returned it in my old address. Do they send an email, when they return application? However, I have put my recent address in the current citizenship application. really have no idea what should I do now? Do I send a new application?

The only way is wait couple of weeks more and then again call IRCC. No other way of knowing till you get your application back or they really say they didn't get your application.
My application was delivered to IRCC on 15-May. I just called them to check on the status and the agent couldn't find my application. All they could pull up were my details from 3 years ago when I had applied for my PR. He said currently IRCC is processing applications that were received around 5-Jun (like what many others were told recently) and that my application should have been found in the system. He said may be it is kind of lying on someone's desk and is waiting to be processed. He got some details from me like Canadapost tracking number, receipt number, UCI, address, email and he told me that he would send an email to the concerned department using their internal tools.
This all sounds like a cruel joke and I am hoping that it is just that my application hasn't been processed yet. Silver lining is that if it were sent back to me then it should have been found in the system which means it is still somewhere in IRCC's office. I noticed that there are still some people from early May who are getting AORs as recently as yesterday, so, I am hoping that it is just a matter of time before I hear about my application from IRCC. Fingers crossed for now!

Today I have called, I give my information and payment details. Unfortunately, there is no trace of application in the system right now. The agent asked me to wait until the middle of September. If I do not hear anything back by then, I need to call them. I have sent my application on May 5th. Unfortunately, I forgot to put it on the tracker. What a mess !!!
If it helps you feel slightly better, I was told something similar except that the agent offered to send a reminder to their internal department (see my last post). I am reasonably sure that our applications are gathering dust on someone's desk who is may be away on vacation or enjoying nice summer weather
just called cic
my app was received on 15th May 2019
he said its still early to check give it a week i will receive acknowledgment or returned application.
and he checked my UCI and couldn't find any new application. so told me to wait a week.

I also havent heard back.. i suspect my application will be returned as i forgot to check a box.. but when i called IRCC the agent said she could not escalate internally as they have to wait another 6 weeks (deadline by which it would be concerning if no aor received or application returned).. so i am surprised to hear your agent was able to contact internal department
