How do we know the visa office ? I mean is that necessary for us to know ??
I haven’t received any update apart from medicals and biometrics so far.

You can raise a webform request to find out your visa office.
It is not mandatory to know, however knowing where your application is being processed can help you guesstimate which months applications are being processed at the moment and time taken for evaluating the application. Based on my research (forums, FB groups), Ottawa CPC is issuing PPRs sooner than other visa offices.
