I am 23 May AOR too. And absolute radio silence since MEP. Called them 3 weeks ago and was told Eligibility is being checked... nothing since then

I'm AOR 23 May and I only moved from IP1 to IP2 yesterday (I'd heard nothing since June 1st, and my GCMS notes showed no progress since June 16th): I think it just depends on your VO and the agent assigned to your case. However, it's now the end of Summer, so I imagine a lot of agents will be returning from holiday.

I am may 23rd too, no movement , last status update was few months back "We are processing your background check."

I have tried calling IRCC three times in last 24 hours, response is heavy volume of call .

yesterday i continuously called and recalled for 55mins before i was able to get in the Q then had to wait another 35 mins you just have to keep at it and itll work

Finally moved into IP2 (Background check in progress) after exactly 4 months from AOR (May 19th). Got request to pay RPRF too and paid it.

I hope it moves faster (and positive) from here
Kindly provide any info about how much more time it could take from here.

Looks like a lot of people with May AoR moved to IP2 today.

Hi guys, I have a question, as I was being told that the eligibility status is "recommend pass" when I called cic agent yesterday, and criminal & security not started yet, I am wondering that it is kind of safe at this stage, right? It wont be changed back to "review required" or "not met"? the rest thing is a matter of time?

Yep mostly safe.

and also I did not any ghost update through online account. It is still showing as IP1!

Ghost update happens when they have change status of background check in the system. It doesn’t mean much. Some people move to PPR without ever getting Ip2 and some have been waiting for months after IP2.

I just got off the phone with CIC...latest updates: criminality passed, eligibility under review, BGC under review, file still at CIO Sydney.

Eligibility under review is possibly status as seen on the CIC account. Given that criminality is passed it’s possible eligibility has been set to recommended pass and it’s still not passed by senior visa officer.
