That's not a problem, as said previously. You can count funds from spouse's funds, as long as you prove access to them (by spouse signing an affidavit allowing so).
However, your funds might have been set for review by an officer. My funds are in the same situation (they're in my wife's account), and I've juse retrieved my GCMS notes yesterday. My file was set to review by the officer because of that. Since there are no remarks at the notes I believe the reason is that that's standard when the POF isn't shown as a clean cut. Waiting review since June 1st (AOR May 11). Nothing to do but wait for now. Good luck!

Yes I share the same skepticism, but somebody in one of the groups claimed that his/her bank informed about it. And supposedly it was directly with bank instead of via call centre, but then again it is not my personal experience so would not vouch for it.
Again, the only possible verification they can do is about the authenticity of the letter. They can't double check balance and/or financial situation, since bank secrecy rules are usually very strict in most countries.
I find it very unlikely that immigration agents can reach out to your account balances.
