Same here. Its not able to find my application. Looks like we have the same AOR date. What's your status? Mine is MEP and BG status says "We are currently processing your background check".

Same with me, Medicals Passed and for BG it is says "We are currently processing your background check"
Does this mean we are in IP2?

Guys, ,my AOR was on May 22. I have to go to Prague on July 27. What if I receive the request for my passport from CIC just before my trip to Prague ? I mean I will need to carry my passport. Any idea ?

Not sure. I have seen cases going directly to IP2 and staying there for over a month with no update. Let's hope that ours get processed soon.

There's a bunch of people in the same situation. Some people with fast IP2s get it within a month, some wait for over 2 months... I begin to think that it depends on the VO that processes the applications. So some offices put IP1 wordings, some put IP2 wordings... doesn't really mean much nowadays. Or maybe they've decided to do a background check before eligibility and else is cleared... Who knows. So far it is clear that fast IP2s are almost always for CEC and FSWs who's had a long term experience in Canada. Is it same for you?

Two days ago, my ICT closed WP was approved; Currently my PR application is in IP2 stage (background check in Progress).
Does the Work Permit approval give me an automatic pass (with employment verification) and a speedy processing of the PR application (including background check, since i do not have travel history to any other countries, except Canada).

Any suggestions, or folks with prior experience of the same ?

Work permit is issued at Centralized intake office which visa office like Ottawa processed PR application. As you might know, CIO is able to check completeness of file not final approving. So I wouldn’t think it will speed up the process because the department that issues work permit has no access to PR application due to their instinct
