CEM, please please DM na or email man lang. Its been 3 weeks since you took my passport; I am living abroad, I need my travel documents...This is a very difficult situation. i dont know what to do anymore

Kung Canadian si Hubby... pwede ,,,,,,,,,tignan mo yung post ni STEP.. tumawag siya sa CIC dun lang nya nalaman yung DM nya

When they IGNORED my request for information...thats what got my blood boiling...and I got MP's PLURAL involved! Started writing letters and the fourth MP I contacted got things done...I worked with MY MP for a few weeks and it became apparent that they didnt know what they were doing...once they accepted my request for help..it took two weeks until the visa was issued..especially if its theyre error that causes you to wait MORE! Sheesh...what a nasty process!

How were you able to get help from the MP? Do you need to pay? And what do they ask you to do?

I wrote them...gave them the background on the file...indicated that CEM hadn't responded,ignored my request for information and that as a tax payer it was not acceptable that A...I was seemingly going to have to incur extra costs for a re-med..and B..that an an extension of the Canadian Government would ignore a taxpayer...essentially.

No you don't have to pay...the elected representatives of Canada in theory are supposed to work for the taxpayers..its a part of theyre mandate to aid citizens that are caught up in bureaucratic BS!

Thanks. I'll go and see my MP soon. That's true. My husband had to undergo re-med. Not to mention when the VO called him to inform him to send more documents back, not even a word of apology from them. Hopefully this will help speed up things.

Sheesh...looking at your time line...they messed up and NOW they make you wait more! Id involve my MP or at the very least start shaking the tree! Have you made any attempt to contact them? You can make a case specific inquiry here..give them a week after you make the request for info..or involve your MP?
