I joined this site like 1 year ago but just working this now when I find it very helpful to everyone. I also from Cebu and we went to Canadian C onsulate here in Guadalupe , Cebu. We got married this year on March and we started to fix some things and gather documents so we can start filling out all the forms. My husband is a canadian citizen and flew back to canada already. He is a divorce and has 5 children and i am single and no kids. He is 37 and I am 29. I am still confused and they said about a red flag on my husband side that he has 5kids. I also have a little question on my side if i can still used my documents like police clearance and NBI clearance that i got last december 2013. If ever i get a new one should i use my old name or should i use my married name? I need help also about more proofs to provide. We are doubtful and i think even if we researched it seemed like there's still more than that. Do you have idea about payment if we use a representative or agency? Thank you and I hope to hear from you soon.

I don't understand why your husband can be red flagged for having 5 kids UNLESS he has a failed sponsorship or his divorce has not be finalized and he cannot legally marry as of yet or be on welfare or have a conviction.
NBI and Police clearance
- NBI and police clearance should be renewed for immigration purposes ( do not use your december 2013 clearance)

You can read that to get an idea how to go about doing your documents for spousal immigration.. ( i also suggest that your husband get on bored on this forum so he can familiarize himself with the process and experiences of Canadians who married overseas.
In fact, I sponsored my wife and I guided her all through out the process with the help of the amazing people in this forum.
YOU DO NOT NEED A LAWYER OR AN AGENCY! THEY WILL JUST SUCK THE MONEY OUT OF YOU--JUST FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS AND GET HIM IN CONTACT WITH HIS MP SO HE CAN GET THE SUPPORT HE NEEDS TO GET YOU HERE IN CANADA.
Thank you for the answer . I don't understand also why they said about red flags of having 5 kids . Yes , looks like everything is ok with my husband part and we went to Canadian Consulate together before to work our papers for our wedding . I am also started filling some of the forms right now while waiting some updates of my grades records in Elementary and High School.
