Hello everyone!
I submitted my papers May 25th under FSW, never received anything back yet. I'm getting married to a Canadian citizen on the 1st week of October 2010. Should I cancel my application? or pursuit it? Which one will be easier for me/us? Thank you!
you will get response soon from CIO
if you getting married dont cancel ur application
while sending ur documents to CHC /VO you can mention regarding your marital status
which will definately help ur processes faster
if you take back your application then after October you have to reapply and will loose alot of time
so pursuit it and in Nov you will be able to send you full documents to VO
most difficult thing is to wait
and 88 days were very long
and can imagine your situation as i was in it few days back
but deduction gave me big releive
i pray for you too to be in safe ground
i was checking october 2009 thread and noticed that majority of them are still waiting for their visa.
i think the first wait is shorter for 90 days only but the wait after 2nd AOR is longer and most of them
have stopped checking their status online because from months on end the status just shows in process.
so gear yourself up for a longlong wait till u get ur visa in hand
Hopefully you will hear something today - CIC is back after a long weekend and lets hope they zoom thru the applications and the May applicants hear some positive news today.

100 % true
but on the other hand in first stage you are doubtfull about assesments and decisions from CIO single mistake can make you down
once you are in VO and get ur second AOR then only one thing left and i.e
waiting for visa and every one knows that almost 10 months are required so
one can wait isnt it......

Completely true - even though i have informed my bank and so on - i have nightmares that something will go wrong and the payment will not go thru - i wish i had sent a DD. oh well hopefully just a few more days of this torture
Does that mean we can send few documents first and rest later eg proof of application for police clearance is acceptable ? if yes what paperwork can be sent later?

Yeah it might be better that way - however u shouldnt miss the 120 day deadline at any cost ofcourse. If 120 days are close by and you havent recd any docs - better to send the ones you have
Congratulations to all of you that have received your first AOR.Considering the time you received your first AOR when do you think you would get your visa without any delay from your side?
Hopefully may 8 and above applicant's files should be started by next week?
