Maximum processing time for study permit extension

Hi, I have a few questions about my study permit.

My study permit expired on Sept 30 and I submitted my application for extending study permit on July 3rd.(Waiting for 4 months and no news update)

I will graduate in December this year. So I worry what happened if they still haven't made decision on my study permit extension.

Will they cancel my application for study permit extension when I graduate at the end of this year? And I need this valid study permit to apply for pgwp in January 2016.

Do you guys know the maximum processing time for them to make decision on study permit?

I don't know what else I can do now? So desperate!
