Master's at carleton - winter intake 2016

I have applied to Carleton for winter intake (MEng Electrical and Computer). For last 2 weeks the status shows 'Review in progress by department". Anyone else got a Letter of Admission from Carleton ?

I have also heard that (also in their preference form) I don't need to apply to the university of Ottawa separately.

My Profile.
IELTS : 7.0 (no scores less than 6)
B.Tech: 69.3% (2013 pass out, 1 year of experience in PSU)
Diploma (3years) : 87.3 %

Strong SOP and Resume.

I have not applied for Carleton. But i have applied to a few other universities for jan 2016 intake.

Don't worry about the status, it takes lot of time to process applications least 6~7 weeks minimum. Just wait with patience (its really tough though ). Usually the engineering departments take time to process.

Don't send any emails to anyone asking your status. It is always better to wait for the customary time of 6 weeks and then you can send an email asking for your status, for now sit back and relax, have patience, wait!

yes it's right, that universities do take time around 6-8 weeks.
So sit back and relax and be positive you will get a +ve response

HEY, am preparing my application for Carleton for the January entry in M.Eng Civil program. I have recently gotten my bachelor in Ukraine. Could you guys please help me with some hints on how you proceeded with your applications? What should I emphasize more in my statement of purpose? Also I don't yet have my English scores but I am writing my Ielts at the end of the month. Do you think its a good idea if I submitted everything and wrote to the department notifying that my English scores would follow soon?

IELTS - I haven't taken yet but I'm going to take TOEFL on October 31
Computer Science: 79%
Experiencie: 6 years as a System Analyst

As soon as I take the TOEFL and get the score I need I'll apply, so I don't have a status yet.
