Marriage to US citizen and applying for Travel document for Permanent Resident

My ex husband (Canadian citizen) we were married for 8 years went to Canada for a week with my daughter (US citizen) and could not come backto US for some visa problems... so if I apply for Travel document for Permanent Resident abroad should I mention that I no longer married to him? and will they find out that I am married to US citizen?
Also we were living all these years in US and he worked for canadian company.. Will I be able to renew my expired permanent resident card? Do I need to be married to Canadian citizen in order to reapply for this status?
Can somebody recommend a good lawyer to make it happen?

When applying for a PR travel document, they will only take into account the last 5 years.

During these 5 years, they will count:

1) all the days you have spent in Canada

2) all the days you spent living with a Canadian citizen husband outside Canada

If that ends up being 730 days or more, you are entitled to get your travel document, go to Canada and get yourself a new PR card.

Hmm are you sure they wont say since the husband is "ex" she cant take credit for no 2? These VOs have a way of making their own rules... just thinking.

I don't know. I think they would count they time until they separated but who knows. Sometimes it does seem like they make up their own rules.
