Hi guys,
I have an urgent inquiry in which I need your expert opinion with.
I got my COPR as a single with an expiry date at the end of march 2019, however I am planing to get married at mid march before landing to be able to add my spouse to my application and get a new PR visa for both of us. I know that I have to contact CIC once I got married before the expiry of my COPR, however I am worried that I wouldn't get a reply back before the end of march due to the short period. Is it an issue or what should I do?
Also, Do I have to present an extra proof of funds?
Thanks.

Thank you for your reply and clarification, I feel relieved now.
So they will request another proof of funds with the spouse documents? I presented a proof of $12500 before. Now they will request $15500 as two family members?
Also, any idea till when the new COPR for me and my spouse will be valid for? assuming adding her took 4 months of processing. Will it be 1 year from the medical test?

Forgive me but I'm still worried, are you 100% sure that it's fine as long as I contacted them before the expiry of my COPR even if I get married 10 days before the expiry date?
Does the date of the email to CPC-Ottawa or my case specific inquiry through the IRCC webform stating that I got married work as a proof that I have contacted them before the expiry date?

It happened to someone I know he got married before landing and informed authorities later about his spouse and his PR was revoked. so better not get married or marry and add her are you best options.
