Hello,
My COPR and immigrant visa expire 5th Nov and I'm getting married on 7th Oct. If I notify CIC right after my marriage, what could happen since there is less than a month to add my spouse to the COPR. Will I be issued a new COPR with a different expiration date? If I will be issued a new COPR, should I have to redo my medical exam? Would it be a good idea to get the PCC and medical exam done for my future wife before the wedding?
Please advice.

You will be asked for additional documents and will be reissued a new copr and visa for u and ur spouse. Since your spouse needs background verification it will take a few months.

Hi can you please explain what do you mean by it depends? I am asking because I'm in a similar situation and i will get married before the expiry of my COPR by only 10 days and i feel nervous.

So the short notice is not a problem? I am asking because I'm in a similar situation and i will get married before the expiry of my COPR by only 10 days and i feel nervous.

are you sure?! why they won't as long as I contacted them about my marriage before the expiry date of my COPR?
Now, they will not accept.
Yes, they will. Any change before actually landing.

I see your point, however I am afraid that at the time they reopen my application to add my spouse they will find that my COPR has expired.

Just 10 days before COPR expiring? They are taking much time in responding and acting on emails nowadays. Still you think that?

As long as IRCC is notified before COPR expiry.
As long as IRCC is notified before COPR expiry.
I would say, its a serious offence to not care about COPR for which everyone fights and its expiring...
My best wishes to the OP.
