Hi, I had obtained my PR in Dec 2021 and had landed in Canada in October 2020. I applied for multiple jobs but was not able to find any job and had to return back to my home country since I was near exhausting my savings. (I was still working in the home country). I kept applying and was able to move to Canada permanently in early 2022. I have completed my days and wanted to check how to show this on my citizenship application. As of now I have written the reason mentioned above but wanted to check if anyone else is in the same boat.
for some reason cant update the excel sheet, but I sent the application on march 1st, and tonight I received the AOR

So it is for my wife, she had some temporary resident days in thise days, we sent a cover letter with the application that she was on visitor visa then implied status during the processing time of PR and open work permit(that was only 2 month i guess) and on the work permit it says status maintained etc.
During her implied status she got her medical submission letter that she did in ON canada, i wrote that as you already have on her file that her PR medical was during her implied status time and her driver's license issue date during her visit visa time so she was definitelyin canada. I didn't include any document with the cover letter because people told me don't over do it. Now i see in February that few of the application got sent back/returned that they can't verify the temporary resident days. If it happens what documents should i submit with my application, i wanna know it now so that i can start preparing it. She got all her covid vaccines in Canada and that was during her visit visa and implied visa time we have that document some of her bank statements, prescription from doctor and receipt from doctor because she didn't had health card at that time so she paid from her on pocket.
I was about to submit all that but people told me not to and explain everything in a cover letter.
Now totally confused.
Thanks

Did you apply online? if so in which section of the application did you add the cover letter, is it under "optional information" at the very bottom?
I suspect the issue is not whether she was physically in Canada during that period (as it can be easily verified by the CBSA travel history report), but how the eligibility days should be calculated during that transition period (visitor to open work permit etc).
I thought visitor and open work permit were the same thing in terms of eligibility calculation, they should be treated as half days (as temporary resident days), unless they recently updated the rule and disallow us to use visitor days.
