May 14, 2024: Citizenship test status has been updated to Completed.
Apr 26, 2024: Scheduled for citizenship test
Mar 7, 2024: Application filed?

Hi there, two citizenship applicants are to travel out of the country on 30 Aug. If the oath ceremony request comes in at the 11th hour, how can one request rescheduling?

As I also gather, once the oath is taken, your PR card is no more valid, and you cannot enter the country with it; you need to get a Canadian passport.

i believe you will get the invite 10-14 days in advance. You can reschedule the ceremony stating reason. I am in a similar situation and will be back only in september, thinking of rescheduling if i gets invited for ceremony

I have read that if the oath ceremony is rescheduled upon the applicant's request, IRRC takes months to set a new date. Anyway, we will take our chances.

My partner received instructions on e-certificate download for citizenship but no email on the oath ceremony date was received yet. I read that its normal for them to send instructions beforehand but wondering how long do they take to send a date for the oath?

There is no definite timeline for oath invitations. When was your partner LPP done? Which office is dealing with the case. If you examine the excel sheet some got oath invitation the same day when LPP was marked complete, some in one/two weeks and others waited for more than a month or so

Hi, ah ok - LLP was done june 19 and mississauga office, so will wait for few days and see what happens on that oath email. Much thanks.
