I am extremely frustrated! Everything on my application is completed except for security! Been waiting for 3 weeks now for this to complete. VO is Sydney. Anybody else in the same boat? How long does security take?

Yes, they will do a background check on your dependent too. Also worth learning that their inadmissibility results into primary applicant becoming inadmissible too.

ah, so they haven't started yet! That sucks a bit. It would've have been nice if they had started because then you could've expected something very soon. Hopefully, they'll do it fast enough once they start your security.

You are right, I read it as spouse who was a part of your application. I'm not super sure about spouse's background check as your admissibility isn't tied to them(unless you are being sponsored), I'll check about it and get back to you.

Mine is the same too as the ARTICUNOuseICEBEAM, Security not started. We are both PNP EE Inland AOR mine is one day ahead. The agent I spoke with last week mentioned I don't have a local office the file is solely with CIO Sydney, does that slow things?

I received a request letter from IRCC asking me to 'Provide details on all prev refusals', but I had already declared that I was refused a study permit in my PR application and I don't recall any other refusals. Why are they asking the same again?

I have read somewhere that Security goes from not started to completed. If it is in progress then that means they are doing a comprehensive check.

another update on my situation... Today I received another email from IRCC with the message that "we acknowledge receipt of the documents ......wish to let you know they have been added to the file.......rest assured your supporting documents are indeed added and available for officer review"..

I hope this progresses soon!

Got my portal email this morning! VO Etobicoke. Finally! Lessgoo!!!
On a side note I also received ADR later on to submit my biometrics fee lol. Weird!
But finally got the portal email today

Congratz!! As I could read from your timeline you waited about 3 weeks between everything completed and PPR! I imagine the relieve!!
giving me some hope as I’m waiting since 1 June with everything completed but still no email, at least now I know that I can wait for 2-4 weeks
