Ceremony scheduled for June 14! And of course, it falls on my busiest day at work! I’ll probably be taking the whole day off because nothing will stop me attending this ceremony! I work from home so If it’s a zoom call I’ll manage just fine!

Doesn’t say if it’s in person so I’ll just wait for email.

tracker was updated May 23rd but only showed up today May 25th

Got my ceremony email today, time given is 10:15 am.

I am to go into the office on this day, is it okay to have this ceremony at work? Basically book a meeting room? Saves me not having to explain to my boss why I won’t be in on the day my team is supposed to come into the office and use this excuse for another time.

I contacted the MP . Here is the response.: no other option to keep waiting:

Application is still within the processing time.

Criminality passed.
Knowledge passed.
Security passed.
Prohibition passed.
Language in process.
Residency in process.

There are no outstanding documents as IRCC received everything, they requested from you.

If you need another status update, please reach out to us by the end of July.

does not matter from where you attend it as long as you are in Canada.

Apparently they ask you to block 2 hrs 15 mins or so. So bear that in mind.

I would hope that we’ll be done by lunch time but I’ll block my lunch hour as well so I don’t get booked.

It should be okay. I did my ceremony at work. It lasted almost 1.5 hour. I went to an empty room and I brought my headphone with me since I didn’t want to bother other people at the office with the noise and also to buffer the noise from my work place because I was worried I might get kicked out of the zoom ceremony if there was too much noise at the office.

Good luck and congratz! Don’t forget to bring a pair of scissors because the clerk will ask you to cut your PR card in front of them during the registration. I also brought a cell phone stand with me just in case there was something wrong with wifi at work I was prepared to use my cell phone wifi.

Thanks for sharing. What is criminality and security? Isn't background check the same thing? If we are all within the processing time of 21 months, will you contact IRCC after 21 months processing time is up? Hopefully we will all receive invitations soon.

So average processing time has come down to 21 months now? A few months ago it had gone as high as 24 months.
