If you submitted your application via paper, the status could be tracked using the old tracker called ECAS https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/. Online applications can only be tracked using the newer tracker https://tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/login

So, in summary, ECAS update refers to the update one can see in the old tracker

So I logged into my account and it said that they're sending me my test invite and I have to take it between November 11- December 1st! All of my other sections say "In progress" though. Does that mean they were approved but still haven't been updated yet?

That's great that you got a test invite. Congratulations.

No, unfortunately it just means that they are under progress and there is no real way to know whether they are approved unless they update it, or you find out through GCMS notes.

The other sections will be marked completed some time (a few weeks to months) after you finish your test.

Sep 2021 to Feb 2022 online applications are moving faster now, so if there's no delay your process could be completed within 3 months or so after you finish your test.

I got another “ghost update “ this evening and wonder what that could mean? Could be the BG update I got today. At this point everything is so random and a guessing game.

On the same attached document for my test, I got the request of additional documents. They are asking for every page of my passport. However it was sent together with the whole package when I applied. Is it like the standard thing or should I send it again?
