It is not necessary for everyone in the family to get fingerprint request. It is common for only one person in a family to receive FP request. Children usually do not receive FP requests BTW.

Thank you so much for a detailed explanation. i have applied through a immigration consultant (paper application) i only have AOR with me. how and where can i check my application status .

The AOR email that you received has a PDF attached to it on which there are instructions and the link to the online application tracker.

If the immigration consultant is your representative, then you won't be able to create an account in the new dashboard, because the code to create a password will be sent to your representative email. If you have your AOR, then in the PDF document you can see the Client application #, your UCI #, last name, date of birth and place of birth , that is all what you need to check your status in old ECAS.

We are calling them "ghost updates", she will see a real update in the next couple of dates, probably BG verification completed.
