Got my AOR email on Aug11 (online application, only took 5+ months...). Can see it "in progress" in the new tracker, but not in ECAS.

Got an email from IRCC asking for fingerprint on Aug 12th.
Did it on the same day. The agent said they will send digital fingerprint to RCMP who will then print it out and mail to IRCC.
Not sure how long the process will take.

Take the citizenship test
Citizenship test

Waiting on you
You have been scheduled to take the citizenship test online. Read the invitation you will receive carefully.

• You need to take your online citizenship test between August 20, 2021 and September 9, 2021.
• Contact the office that sent the invitation if you
  • can’t or don’t want to do the test online
  • need to reschedule
  • have any questions

I haven't got any email regarding this but I guess this is the invitation?

My timeline is:

Application Sent: March 4, 2021
AOR: April 26, 2021
Background Check: June 21, 2021
Test Invitation: Aug 13, 2021

Hi there - if you don't mind sharing, was your application online or paper? This is probably the fastest application I have seen after the December onine pilot applicants.

Hi, my application status has been showing 'In Progress'. I was wondering what's the difference between in process and in progress?

In Process is that status in ECAS, for what I have seen from others and my own file that is when your BG check has started and your file has been transferred to your local office. The new dashboard shows in progress to all applicants right after receiving AOR.

I am safely assuming that GCMS notes request makes sense only after old ECAS shows In Process?

You can request GCMS notes at any time, after receiving AOR. The standard time to be delivered to you was 30 days, but it appears that the amount of requests has increased these days, therefore their standard has increased to 60 days, now. There are some applicants that requests GCMS notes one after they have received the previous one, it gives more detailed information about the processing of your application.
