Raised a request to update the mailing/current address today.
It refused to update mailing address without resubmitting the current address.
So I just copy-pasted the same thing in both places.

Correct, it was forcing us to change both. It should be fine. They are updating it quickly and correctly in couple of days.

I thought that after AOR, it just showed that the person received AOR. What other info do you see on ecas besides the mailing address?

Address(home and mailing, if any) and option to update online and request to change.

CIC employees have got used to relax at home & least bother to process applications. Let the applications stay in the storage for another year...
