Hi Guys, here is my timeline. I thought I will wait for 1-2 years as we were selected for criminal screening and security screening for both me and my husband.
Vancouver office
Mar 23 submitted.
May 6 medical passed
May 6 ADR
May 14 biometrics
May 23 ADR
May 28 ADR submitted - started criminal screening and security screening for both me and my husband.
July 20 raised GCMS report and found us on SS. Checked almost all related information in this forum and other forums and expect a 1-2 year waiting before PPR. Some people waited for more than 2 years due to criminal screening.
Called IRCC and raised webform once a month. No help.
Unexpectedly, Dec. 4th, PPR. I thought it was another ADR...
I think the reason why we were selected for SS is that we have worked in different companies and countries.
Awesome and congrats!!! Your employer was very kind to let you go for this long only to receive your PR card. I am planning to do soft landing myself but haven't informed my employer about this yet (still working on my message, would be helpful if you could share what you said). Will have to move to Canada before Feb 7.
No, medicals are valid for one year
They ask for re medicals even after crossing the one month mark (basically when they touch the file)
The purpose of remedical is to give more time to land, so there is nothing to be worried about this
I think it's not a bad sign if you are not asked . It depends on the officer and the stage of your application . If your application is at the last stage and then probably it's not required to re submit the medical . There are a lot of factors that determine if require a re-submission .
