Like always I just checked my account after seeing the above comments about ghost update and IP2 change and god has mercy - my application status says updated( a lil while ago checked again...it says submitted) and background check update remains same- we are processing your background check

Very strange, you should have been done by now, unless you have an extensive travel history etc.
Have you called up IRCC till now to enquiry about eligibility and BGC ?

True....my friends who had applied earlier than me around nov and dec got their PR within a month and here I was stuck in IP1 for 98days...
No I don’t have any international travel history actually....Called IRCC a zillion times, out of which I could only get connected a two times, and both the times I heard similar replies, saying the process would take 6 months and that my background check hasn’t started...strange and painful especially after knowing that your friends had got PPR in about 1 and half month
