Is it just me or does anyone else think this is unfair? How come some people's applications are prioritized while others need to wait for long if the fees are the same for everyone? It's not like the US based candidates signed up for a Premium Package.
I think the right way to go would be to process the applications in the order they are received, regardless of where the candidate is coming from.
How so, don't they need the immigrants? Aren't we paying them for this? And don't be mistaken, I'm also grateful for the opportunity, but I would expect equal treatment for everyone who is applying.

They may need immigrants but they don't need to let either you or I in
It will happen when it happens no amount of stressing will change it now its all in the hands of the officers !

I agree. If they process on first cum first served strictly and some pre existing profile takes too long to process, the backlogs would get compounded even more than right now. I am sure right after AOR it must be first cum first served but no one can decide how long a case officer needs to be convinced for each file. Too many variables for different applications including submission timelines.
We’ve done what we could, now it is best to let them do their job and hope for the best patiently. Comparing with others is more stressful.

I know man, its not fair. But it's their country and they do it with whatever priority they set. I do believe, however, even with FSW-O from US, they are targeting and processing those NOCs which falls under ICT category. I guess Canada is giving priority to IT professionals or graduates from US much more than other nations for the time being. But all in all, we can't really complain much. 4-6 months is not too much of a long time to get PR and the PR application fee for Canada is way less than other country. Australia's PR for single applicant is AUD 3,600 I believe. So for now we wait!

Thank you! No such trend with healthcare NOCs' I believe, or that I know of. Maybe they fall under licensed professions, hence, not much prioritized as much as ICTs. I read Ontario, Toronto in particular wants be the silicon valley of great north america.
