Maybe they started to review your documents but didn't see your medical results.

can you please share exactly what is the status of your back ground check? is it: "Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check"?

yes it precisely says that, but the medical status is not changed, although I had my medical submitted on 26 the feb

Ok.. I think as long as your doctor didn't find any problems it should be fine. Either they didn't get to your medicals yet or they didn't update in the system and it will get updated along with the next status change. I wouldn't worry about it.

My case is similar to yours; i am 4th of march AOR IP1 but still no meds passed

Do you mean I was skipped for IP1? Because it was showing "We are processing your background check, We will send you a message if we need more information" the same day as medical passed.

Reply to your query: I don't think any process will be skipped. Rather I think
IP1 stage was really quick for you (since you are a CEC applicant) and got over and then shifted to IP2. I think you will be one among those in this thread who will get PPR first. All the best

I found medical passed and background check changed yesterday. And I received en email from CIC this morning saying there is an update but there was no change for the profile. Is this the late notice for yesterday's update?

According to many cases in myimmytracker.com, CEC applications are being processed very quickly these days! That is one of the reason your Medical got passed in 2 days. Mine is FSW-O and it took 1 week. Still a good time compared to PNP.

My Medical passed on 11 March and for that I got an email on 14 March. Things kind have slowed down a bit at IRCC.

That's pretty good timing for PNP application. I see from immi tracker, PNP application getting PPR in as less as 31 days.
