hi Everyone! i need some help. I am currently sponsoring my husband and we are processing his papers in Manila Canadian Visa office, but he is currently working in singapore. my question is if CEM will request his Passport, is it better for him to leave his job in SIngapore and go back to Philippines before he submit his passport or he can just stay in singapore and send his passport by courier. anytime CEM will just request for his passport request. what should we do?

As far as I know he can send his passport with his adress to have it back, but I have no idea on how long it takes.
You better follow the Manilla thread for better clearance.

Just for further reference, I read on another thread they can keep your passport for 12 weeks. Standard seems to be 3-4 weeks though.

It's quite alright to send the passport from his current location. Make sure to include application #, UCI, return information (you have to include an envelope I believe) etc.

Nope! Your panel doctor will send some IMM forms electronically when you do the medical, but you don't need to send any forms. Make sure you include the letter, though, so they can attach the items to your case.

If you look at 2015 sheets, those who applied after May 25th had theier status changed to IP in Aug. but, it is not the same to those who applied before May 25th!

Has anyone noticed that?

Does it mean that IP status has a different meaning to those who applied in Jun 2015 than those who applied in Mar 2015 like us?

I don't think so, it is all case-dependant. Quite a few people from March have already landed.

It might have been because I wrote letters to my MP, the Minister of CIC, the Prime Minister and party opposition leaders asking them to at least update the systems and keep us better informed...so that we are not overwhelming them and the call centre with inquiries

I applied in March 2015 and mine changed from application received to in process on August 22 2015! I dont think its only happening for applicants who applied after May. Has anyone elses status changed to in process who applied in March 2015?
