Just in case here's some new applicants,
in case you have any questions about the CEC application process or steps that
have to be taken after receiving the AOR, head over to my website

Wonderclicks please lock down the spreadsheet. I was strongly against that.. but I couldn't see how it has been changed.. its been 20 mins I am working on it,, couldn't fix that.. everything is changed rite from the scrap please lock and give access to few ppl :'(
It takes about 4 to 6 weeks to receive an AOR from the day CIO office receives an application. However, the average time to receive AOR nowadays is around 30 days.
For bridging open work permit please check http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2013/ob485A.asp You do not require a LMO for bridging open work permit, as it is an open work permit.
You may also want to check other threads on bridging open work permit on this forum. They are quite helpful and resourceful.

Hi guys !! Thank you so much for having this link ... really helpful !!! Thank You !!
I am writing on behalf of my friend, he sent his application on 3rd March, 2014 and was received by CIO on the 4th March 2014 ... he still hasn't received his AOR ? What could be the reason for it ? Also even I will be applying soon just one more doubt after we have received our AOR how do we apply for bridging work permit ? Is it mandatory that we apply for LMO even if we still have time on our work permit ? Can we directly apply for bridging work permit once we have AOR ?
