@ cgagnon- did your hubby have to take another photo for the passport? I'm not quite sure if I need to send photos again along with my passport since I included a couple of them when I filed my app.
Does CPP-Ottawa conduct eligibility of the principle applicant? Or is it done by the Visa office? In other words, which of these assessment is done by Ottawa and which is done by the American visa offices
Assessment of Eligibility:
Assessment of Security
Assessment of Criminality
I'm thinking it'll end up being a mail thing as the sponsorship approval was VIA mail, even though we put our e-mail on the application *shrugs* Nothing today though
We sent our application Mar 14 and it was received in Mississauga Mar. 15. Sponsor approved June 21 and file transferred to LA. Then went IN PROCESS Sep 28th. And finally PPR Oct 12!
Your timeline is running about 1 week before ours (app. recv'd and sponsor approval). My concern is that our ecas has not, as yet, even shown "in process". I know everyone says not to worry, that ecas isn't necessarily up to date, but I'd sure feel better if it read as such, would then hope for PPR within the next week or two. Here's hoping anyway!
Again, a hearty congrats! Big load off your shoulders, I'm sure!

Who knows how it actually works. We've been in process 5 weeks longer and haven't received PPR yet (which I have hope coming in the next few days). Not sure of the rhyme or reason to how things are done just hoping I'm the next one to post good news

I know, there's clearly no rhyme or reason when it comes to who gets processed when. I'd imagine an officer grabs a stack, another officer grabs another stack, and they each work through what they've got at a different pace for various reasons. Sure hope our file doesn't mimic my real life tendency to always choose the worst line up! Anyway, I surely do hope you hear soon, it can get pretty discouraging to watch those who filed behind you get processed more quickly. All the best!
