Hey all, I was pretty quiet in this thread as my wife and I were patiently waiting.
But I'm happy to say that I have been approved as a sponsor (June 26th, 2012). We were approved through the Ottawa office since they received our application on March 15th, 2012.
It took 2 weeks longer than the then 90 day wait time, so if you haven't heard yet, don't lose hope, you'll hear something soon.
Oh, btw, we were notified via email.
...BTW, is anyone else going through the Beijing visa office? I heard it's the fastest office available with some people hearing in as little as 2 months!
