through online inquiry to the Paris visa office, I found out that the File number is the same as the one we received.
They use the same file number so if anyone needs they can reference to the same file number and send additional
information if necessary, such as proofs or pcc's, etc.
We're also dealing with Paris office, but our application is from Portugal.
Ours was transferred on July 3rd to Paris. No AOR from visa office yet, not sure if they send one.
Waiting to hear next step. eCAS still says "App Received" on the PR part.
We're preparing some more proof of ongoing communication, as well as PCC's.
On another note though, having lived in Switzerland before, if I had a choice, I would never leave Switzerland.
It's the best place on earth for me. Too bad we can't have residency there.
Well, I'm digging in for the long haul. My first application (FSW MI-2) took 29 months for them to reject, so I've learned a bit of patience. Even if the rejection ultimately turns out to have been incorrect, it means that processing on my spousal application will definitely take more time. Combined with a significant age difference I'm fully prepared to be one of those rare US cases called for an interview. Maybe I should start a pool for the last person from March 2012 to obtain a positive decision.
The best thing to do - if you can - is to find anything else on which to focus OTHER THAN immigration. Otherwise, you will find yourself checking e-cas every hour, reading the forums constantly and wondering what it is they are doing in Ottawa and LA.
Good luck to all - and happy holiday for those who celebrate the Civic holiday.

I did received an AOR from Paris by email, it was exactly a month to the day after my wife received the AOR for the Step 1. Now that I have a DM on my status I am harassing my mailbox daily... lol
Switzerland is awesome but for some reason or another I always seem to end up elsewhere So I know how you feel.
This is absolutely dreadful...mine still says application received as well...this should happen by christmas at this rate hoping before that but don't want to get my hope's up!

Uggggghhhhhhhhh Christmas?!?!?!?! I don't understand how the Canadian Gov't thinks that it's heathly for someone to not be able to work for a year!! You have people who want to contribute to their families and pay taxes but the Gov't expects them to keep a sane mindset while sitting around twiddling their thumbs. It's so crazy!! Meanwhile the minimum income to qualify for Sponsorship is $22,229... Really?!?!?!
Just got PR approval! London just sent us an email today. COPR is in the post. Great timing too, as we are going on holiday to Canada in a few weeks! Glad its finally over.
