lets say i land in january /2011 as a skilled worker and take my card then return to my home contry for work and after exactly 3 years i come back to canada to settle what will happen in the follwing
1- will they take my card becoz i didnt visit canada during the past three years or its ok because i still didnt break the 2years minimum to maintain the residnecy??
2- is there a re entery permit for canada (like in the states) so somone could apply for a 2 years abscence??
3- if we lost our card but have a baby at canada does this guarante us to get the card again in the future considering our son is canadian by birth and we have to be with him to raise him up in canada???
I can't answer your questions but try posting your thread in the permanent residency obligations folder under settlement topics in the main folders page. You might be more likely to get the response you need. Allison
LICO is low income cut off. When sponsoring parents, the person sponsoring (in this case, your son) has to make a minimum amount of money per year in order to qualify as a sponsor. Your son will have to make enough money to cover himself, you and your wife - and any other dependents he has at that time (e.g. wife, children). You and your wife will also have to pass the medical exam again to ensure that you don't have health problems that will make you a burden on Canada (if you have serious health problems, you could be refused). Finally, keep in mind that the processing time for parents is currently around 5 years (can be more depending on your country of origin).
