I am planning to move soon, and with the current processing times I'm hearing about, if I enter my current address in the PR portal, I might have to stay at my current location for a lot longer than expected, just to receive my PR card in the mail.
Can I use a friend's address as my mailing address? I have seen that you can't use a third party address, so am hesitant to put in anything other than my current address.

Move and pay for a mail forwarding service at Canadapost

Yes, you can use your friend's address as your mailing address. Also, you can call IRCC and change your mailing address too.
