I applied for a new card in canada as i lost my old card. Currently it shows 27 days as the processing time, are these days, business days or calendar days?
In addition, i need to leave canada in an emergency situation;
1. Has anyone applied for the permanent resident travel document that can confirm usual processing time?, i will be applying from new delhi, india. Is there a period of expiry for this document?, is there a specific date? i am asking as i dont know when will i be returning back, i have a date in mind but might need to extend it, and if they have a specific date then that PRTD document can become invalid.

We were in a somewhat similar situation. We lost our PR card and applied PRTD. We applied from the US and it took around 4 weeks to get PRTD (valid for 1 year). The process was very smooth and they were extremely professional. We missed sending a document and they informed us via email and held on to our application till they received all documents from us.
Good luck!
