LMO Processing Time

Hi Everyone
My boss applied for an LMO before Xmas 2011. We did not get any answer then he called a number asking what was going on. He got the file number...My question is that can we do something with this number online? I mean checking the process or something. Now is April 2012 and still nothing.

when did you get file number?

nothing can do with file number online, but your employer or consultant can contact SC call centre to check processing status with file number.

My Employer applied for LMO in Kitchener(Ontario) on 27 May and he sent it by fax. I asked him to confirm if the file has been received after one week but still we did not hear anything from them and My employer is telling that they will not even confirm if the file was received until and unless they have it in processing.Is it true ??

you must sent it on 27th March. I have seen some case even processed without file number, but also some spent long time to get file number even 10 weeks or more. We know getting file number is that your case is assigned to officer

Ohh Sorry , yes it is 27 March not May !!

But my work permit is gonna expire in July .. hope i get it before that

Sorry, but there is nothing you can do. Only employer is eligible to check the status of your application. I'm not sure if file # is confidential, my employer has given me one. Good luck on convincing your employer.

File no is not confidential. you have to know file no to check status but only employer can do that

I got the file no last Friday.... Application was sent on March 23rd.
