LMO in Ontario

Hi i applied thro a agency for my LMO as a live in caregiver and still have not recieved any word it...it was submitted in August 2010
I am getting really discourage, I want to know how long does it now take to process a LMO for Ontario.

Please help
I am among other students waiting and discouraged

It should be the employer applying for LMO in your favour. DO you already have an employer? If you have one have your employer call Service Canada to follow up the application.

My agency trained us for 7 months in the related field, so they have a branch in canada, so they seek employers for us,

My agency find employers and the agency keeps in contact with us and the employers

So have you signed a contract with an employer? If you have then the LMO is probably being processed.

Two to 8 weeks in BC, probably longer in Ontario. Wait it out since you already have a contract and the LMO has been applied for. Hopefully the advertising requirements were complied with.

I was contacted by the agency yesterday and they say they followed up on the process and it will be completed by January the latest...
this is really a long process
it would be 22 weeks....wow
