Hi everyone,
My employer has agreed to apply LMO for me
however, i am not sure if we can put contract length for 1 year
does anyone know if we can put 1 yr or 2 yrs ?
i did some research and i saw in the forum that usually the LMO is only valid for 6 months?
and also, does my job has to be very very unique when i apply lmo ? do they require unique job title ? (abc specialst etc ? )
is there a site that can find out the wage as well to put on the LMO ?
and lets say we apply LMO on April 1 and it approves on August 1 , do i need to be in Canada during that time period ?
can i go back to Hong Kong and visit my family ?
To find the prevailing wage for the LMO (which must match the wage in the ad for Job Bank) go here:
http://www.workingincanada.gc.ca/content_pieces-eng.do?cid=1
It's important that the employer does not put LESS than the prevailing wage. The LMO will be denied if they do that.
Hopeully someone else will help you, as I don't have answers to your other questions. Good luck!
Thanks for your information wideopenspaces. ;D

If the NOC code has a "0" as the first digit it is a management occupation..
Therefore, it falls under NOC 0
Now for NOC A, B, C and D.. If the 1st digit is not zero, look at the 2nd digit.. This is how..
if the 2nd digit of your NOC code is 1 -- it is under NOC A
if the 2nd digit of your NOC code is 2 or 3 -- it is under NOC B
if the 2nd digit of your NOC code is 4 or 5 -- it is under NOC C
and if the 2nd digit of your NOC code is 6 -- it is under NOC D
in your case, your NOC code is 3
2 12.. The 2nd digit is (2) , therefore your occupation falls under NOC level B..
GOOD LUCK..!!!
