LMIA and work permit visa for 2 years since August 2017-2019

Looked at your posting history. I think you worked about four days. If so, you're unfortunately way below the number of insurable hours you need to work in order to qualify for EI. You need 600 to qualify for this benefit. EI functions as an insurance plan - you have to pay a minimum into it through working a minimum number of insurable hours before you qualify to benefit from it.

How long did you work?

This is the problem, I did 4 days then I had a kidney stones which put me out of work for 3 weeks, I had medical coverage and provided the doctors note to my company until I could return back to work. typically Bad timing but he was very understanding at the time. Then on my return he laid me off work unexpectedly stating lack of work.. This could happen to anyone.

Is this a pointless claim of no pay 4 days and tools stolen ? Which i filed a claim with the Ministory of Labour.

I'm not sure I understand your question. For EI, you must meet the minimum number of insurable hours worked - these are hours you both worked and were paid. Unpaid days off don't count. The insurable hours are a requirement - it's not flexible. You don't come anywhere near the minimum required with only four days worked.

Thank you and yes your right. Thats totally understandable So basically it's not worth even going there.

So would you say I should just concentrate on my new employer who's doing my lmia and forget filing a claim about my original case?

Another question, I was told to live in canada I'd have to pass my Red Seal exam? is this true? Because I've been approved to sit the course in bc at my choosing, but for now I'm going through the lmia and duel intent process with my employer for me and my partner to move here. Im interested to know if i was too this correctly?
