I recently have a child through the surrogacy process. I was told I and can apply for limited validity passport. Has anyone applied for this before? If so how can do this. I have the custody of the child.

This is not going to happen in your case, in my previous answer I didn't realize it was a surrogate birth.

Here is what The Operations manual states

"If the
child was born through a surrogacy arrangement, however, the child will legally be the child of the
surrogate mother who gave birth until a subsequent adoption occurs that would create a legal
parent/child relationship.
