why do you need a letter of explanation? I applied for mine in may 2017 and i didnt do one. I got my permit in September no issues.

I did mine paper-based

For my Post Graduate Work Permit (PGWP) i only submitted
the application form
the fee receipt,
copy of my travel documents
copy of my study permit
transcript
letter from the school stating that i completed my studies and i am eligible for graduation/convocation

nothing more. maybe the online application is different. but i know the paper-based takes longer than the online application

Hi everyone, I'm confused about the Letter of Explanation. Although it said on the application that it wasn't required, I cannot submit my application unless I attach a document in that field. Does anyone know if it's required or if it's generated based on the answers in the online form. I'm not sure what I need to explain, or is it more like a cover letter about the reasons why I wanna go to Canada? it is very case specific. for mine I listed the points I want to talk about and then elaborated each point and attached the supporting documents under each point then consolidated them all in one pdf (less than 4 mb) and voila! uploaded
