Guys, anyone of you who have received the Passport Request Letter recently? Could you let me know how long it took for the Embassy to return the Passport. Would the CIC Online Account Status would also change in the meanwhile?

Hey guys, I just checked my application status and it said:
Review of eligibility: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start reviewing your eligibility.

Background check: We are processing your background check. We will send you a message if we need more information.

It also said that I don't need a medical exam even though I have done it and sent them the result.

So what I want to ask is whether they have touched my application at all? Thanks guys!!!

There's no sure shot way of telling that. I also faced the same dilemma. It might be that they have and just have not updated the website. For my application it showed Medicals not required for almost a month. And then it was updated to medicals passed.

Hey i also applied on 16th may its been 5 weeks now and I am in 6th week still no update hopping gor best

Applied on10th May via VFS Bangalore, i am facing similar situation. It is going to be 6 weeks and no updates other than medicals passed.

VISA status : Reviewing your eligibility (since two weeks)
One of my friends applied on 24th may and he got his visa approved last week.

Thank you so much for reply, Can i apply with a swift copy of fees receipts if i get any in two or three days

You can email your college to get the fee reciept processed quick.That's what I did.

Hi,

I got the passport request on 15th June (Canada Date) here it was the 16th of June. I submitted my passport in 2 days of time and my status was updated on cic from document required to approved. am expecting to receiving the passport tomorrow as I got an email notification from VFS that the passport was handed over to the partner courier company

No but it says the visa is issued in my passport they are yet to put up the introduction to canada letter

Where did you saw that Status? Its normally says Application is approved.

Is this Introduction to Canada Letter a requirement to Travel?
