Applied on 16th May, paper based. Linked with CIC account, medical passed on 19th May, no updates after mEdical.

hey i am not able to link with CIC account, dont know where I am making mistake. I applied on 8th May, paper based. can you please help me on this? it shows no account available. are you PGD or masters?

May 21 - Application apparently got updates but upon checking, nothing changed
May 25 - Still the same update email but not change in status

Should I be worried that it's going to be 12 days now and I still did not receive any medical request?

Wow, that's fast. I applied on 25th May with upfront medical, still my medical status hasn't changed

By the way, for those who do upfront medical, is change of medical status a good sign?

Cause, in the case of paper application, the visa office only request for medical check in (nearly) the final stage of the process, right?

Actually, for Medical exams, the CIC will process them faster, because if an applicant doesn't clear the medical, there is no point processing the application and wasting their efforts further. Hence, a change of medical status really means nothing - except that your application is not eliminated on medical grounds early on in the process.
As far as I know, even for applications without medical, they issue the Medical request and process background check/ document verification in parallel to optimize time.

New tab for 'Eligibility' is added and the status of 'Review of Additional documents' changed from "We do not need additional documents" to "The additional documents you provided are being reviewed".

Application status: We are processing your application. We will send you a message when there is an update or if we need more information from you.
Review of eligibility: We are reviewing whether you meet the eligibility requirements.
Review of medical results: You passed the medical exam.
Review of additional documents: The additional documents you provided are being reviewed.
Biometrics:If we need your biometrics, we will send you a message in your account telling you how to submit biometrics.
Background check: Not applicable.
Final decision: Your application is in progress. We will send you a message once the final decision has been made.
