Let share Preparations/Timelines for 2015 Live In Caregiver PR/OWP Applications

Thank you so much. The letter that was sent to me only gave instructions for him to send his passport within 15days. It includes a form asking for name, height, date of birth and eye colour for both of us. There is no room for signature, phone number or address on the form. There is no appendix B. Am I supposed to get that later or from another source?

Thats why I was asking. Because Kingston told me the immigrant visa will be issued once Vegreville makes a FINAL DECISION they will issue immigrant visa. We all know that the appointment for PR is just formalities

Do what the letter says.....once you follow what they have instructed you to do you cannot go wrong

I received a letter Tuesday to provide copies of my dependents passport....since the passport i started the filing with have less than six months!

All who have the same issue can send a copy of updated passports which will save time....if they had that i am sure a decision would have been made. Now i have to wait for them to recieve the copies of updated passport.

Hi... Im not sure why they give you a different form. Are you on the Live In Careguver Program?

CIC will email you all of this form. On my case and some other careguvers I know, it was sent all at the same day. Appendix B form is inckuded on the 7 page passpirt request letter.

And youre husbands passpirt might need to be renewedd. Its says passpirt should be valid during his stay in Canada.

Immigrant visa will not be given automatically once you are informed by mail that your PR applicaton is completed/ has final decision and approved.

You have to wait for the landing interview appointment. Yes, it is for formalities, but this is also the day youll receive your COPR.

The effectivity date of your PR is the day when you have the Landing Interview.

And once you receive your COPR, then you can ask your dependendent to send their passport.

Its in the letter that they mailed to you, It says, Do not submit passport until principal applicant has done their interview ( not the exact words by the way ).

He just got a new passport last year and it's still valid for the next 4 years
