> To keep your permanent resident status, you must have been in Canada for at least 730 days during the last five years. These 730 days don't need to be continuous. Some of your time abroad may count towards the 730 days
So it seems we can be outside of the country for three years? Also, there is no six month rule like the US.
I left Canada immediately after receiving my card. I am planning to move permanently in six months. Anyone foresee any issues or anything I need to keep in mind?
Correct. You can be outside of Canada for 1095 days [total] in each rolling 5 year period and will still have met (exactly) the Residency Obligation (R.O.) to maintain your PR status. The PR card expires, but the status does not. It can be revoked for non-compliance of meeting the R.O.
Time abroad will only count towards your R.O. if you are accompanying a Canadian spouse or partner, but even then it could be a matter of `who followed whom'.
Since I'm assuming you recently became a PR (mid 2022), did you complete a Goods to Follow form with CBSA for any items that you may have had `back home', that you will now be bringing with you when you offically move to Canada in ~ July?

No, I don't have any Goods to Follow. All my items are already in Canada for the most part. Basically, I moved, got bank accounts, sin, dl etc and decided to skip the winter.
