Leaving Canada before receiving PR card

Any recent changes in method as above? i.e. #3, 4, and 5? anyone go through with mailing PR back to their Home country? Read someones landing feedback today, where the immigration/border control stated that one would not be able to travel/exit out of Canada before receipt of PR.

It is perfectly fine to have the PR card mailed to you in your home country.

Thanks . So for example, leaving 1 month after landing and then re-entering 6 months later with my PR card is alright ? Will they tag me for exiting the country and request details upon re landing ?

Yes, that's fine. You are allowed to leave the country. They won't request anything.

May i ask from where did you find the info that its ok to get the pr emailed out of the country?usually they ask you for a canadian address

are you sure about this ? i heard they can only ship it to an address in canada, not outside.

IRCC will only mail it to a Canadian address. You can then have someone at that Canadian address mail the card to you.

interesting thread!! I like to also as I'm planning to land on Apr 18 and will be back after 3 weeks. Interested to know has anyone actually done this. I mean collect PR either by mail or someone bring it personally for him/her. Pls answer if you actually did this.

My wife is in Canada on PRTD RC-1 and her PR Card application is in process. She has got PRTD visa says Permanent Resident and multiple entry.

Now the question is she has to come her home country and travel back to Canada once she got her PR Card mailed at her friend's home in Canada. Can she do that?
