I'm in Canada right now and got my passport back with the PR visa and confirmation of PR document. Then a day later I got an email about the landing interview. Seems like this is a relatively new thing.
I was thinking of crossing the border (seems to be the quickest way to complete the process) so that the process can be completed and the PR card can get mailed. But since this landed interview came up, was wondering if I needed to cross the border (ie would the PR card get mailed after the landing interview itself?)

If they have emailed you to do the landing in land then that's what you have to do unless you're outside Canada. From what I've read on the forum, it's a better way of doing the landing and yes the pr card is mailed at the address you've provided. You can also confirm when you're there for the interview. Hope this helps.

If you got inland Landing they have prepared for your detail to update in file. The only profite of InLand Landing is you can apply for PR card directly from there and update your SIN and other detail at same place..
