Thanks Rizmayo, sorry for another query..hope you can help. For PR cards, will each family member gets it? As mentioned my husband and me will land first, once we receive our PR cards, does it include our kids PR card already? even if they have not completed their landing yet? thanks again

Not sure if it is necessary, but obtain it as schools may ask to see where/which grades they were in.
Yes obtain a school leaving certificate, etc. Try to ensure it is issued in English/French.
Have their latest report cards, etc as well.....and immunization records are a must for young children. [under 18]
Hi friend,
Can you please clarify whether immunization records required for children under 18 or under 16.
In another thread I read under 16.Which is correct.
My son turned 16 in 2013August.I got the landing papers in Nov 2013.No immunization forms where provided in the landing papers.Does this mean that is required only for children under 16 years?
To import goods duty- and tax-free, Settlers must have owned, possessed and used the goods prior to their arrival in Canada and FORMER RESIDENTS must have owned, possessed and used the goods for at least six months before returning to resume residence.
For settlers moving in as PR for the first time there is NO 6 months ownership
Requirement.
YOU MUST OWN, POSSESSED & USED BEFORE YOU MOVE IN
hi there,
i have a strange question
as a permanent resident in canada, are you allowed to have more than one wife?
and if not what is the authority that should be notified of such act?
waiting for a reply if anyone knows the answer to such issue

The maximum punishment carried for this offence is 5 years in prison. Though no one has been prosecuted in Canada for this offence for the past 60 years, there is a known case of women in British Columbia who was denied permanent residence and ask to leave country after 10 years in Canada for being in a polygamous relationship.
As for your question on who to inform, the answer is no one, as your case will be denied. Choose 1 wife you want to immigrate with, as this is what all the other people who have immigrated have done.
Sorry if this is not the answer you were expecting.

I think if a person enters a country which allows polygamy (using a non-Canadian passport) and lives there, the person would allow to have more than one wife.

I will be doing my landing this month. This is going to be a short trip, only for 4-5 days. I would comeback later with my family for moving permanently.
Is it mandatory to have a GTF list even though this is such a short trip? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
