Hi. My dad is the primary applicant and we received the required documents recently this week. However, i am currently living in the USA as a student. My question is, do i need to make the same entry date as my family or my dad and my family can enter first and i fly in a day later ? Please help.
I was the principal applicant and I landed first with my family. 5 days later, my son joined us and it was very quick for him. As long long as you land after your father and before the expiry date of the visa you should be OK.
1_When doing first landing do I have to carry all Jewelry of the family or only pictures are enough
2_ what is the case if we move after the first year of landing regarding " money and jewelry I carry upon arrival "
With my wife and three children we landed in Toronto on 4th October 2013 and we were directed to an office opposite the one where we signed the COPR and got our SIN in few minutes.
My Son who joined us on 9th October got his SIN in Mississauga and it took him 5 minutes to finish it.

I am new to this thread. Would like to have one clarification. If somebody can help. I am an MPNP immigratnt planning to land in Mar13 in manitoba. I applied in Oct11 & got Visa in Oct13. My Supporter who gave nomination stays in Thompson but I want to settle in Winnipeg. I have good friends & connections in Winnipeg also.
The COPr I received mentions the place of arrival as Thompson. So can I still stay in Winnipeg & declare at the time of immigration also that I will stay in Winnipeg.

u must land in the same location and process your formalities, after that you can go any where in the same province to complete your compulsory tenure.
It took us more than 2 hours to finalize everything (COPR, SIN, Customs) before leaving the airport. We were 5 of us.
My son who joined us later on spent around 30 mins (COPR only) and he applied for the SIN card next day downtown.

1. No, you do not have to take the jewelry with you. However, you must have 2 sets of pictures of all the jewelry that will follow.
2. The jewelry that you declare could be taken any time after your landing without paying custom duties.

I just received my family passports stamped from Candaian embassy.
Now I am planning to land in Toronto, I am confused whether I should bring my family with me, or I should come alone and find some job and after finding job I should call them.
Is there any restriction from the Canadian authorities to bring family with you.
One thing is for sure that I have to show proof of funds for whole family, either I should go alone or with family.
Anyone from NOC 0213 in Toronto for networking.
